1. Scope

This policy explains what personal information TheJetGrade collects through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, subscribers, people who submit forms, and clients of our brokerage and referral services. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to.

2. What we collect

You give us:

• Contact details: name, email, phone, company, mailing address.
• Aircraft information: tail numbers, make/model/year, total time, asking price, ownership status, and any records, logbooks or photos you upload.
• Buyer's Guide answers: why you're buying, trips per year, distance, passengers, budget.
• Messages you send us, and account credentials if you create an account.
• Payment information for any paid service (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).

We collect automatically:

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring URL, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy.
• With functional permission, recent aircraft/listing views and price filters saved on your device for recommendations; with additional advertising permission, those views can choose which first-party sponsor creative appears first. Browsing history is not sent to sponsors.

We get from others:

• Public records: FAA registry, NTSB and other government databases, which may associate an aircraft with a registrant's name and address.
• Data enrichment and CRM providers, when we verify or complete business contact details.
• Partner brokers and service providers, when you contact us through them or they refer you to us.

3. Why we use it

• To provide the Site and its tools: grades, value estimates, snapshots, tail reports, guides, quizzes.
• To respond to your requests and to provide brokerage, referral and advisory services you ask for.
• To send you the newsletter and marketing about TheJetGrade services, sponsors and affiliates, where permitted. You can opt out at any time.
• To refer your request to a partner broker or service provider when it concerns something we don't handle ourselves. We may receive a referral fee.
• To operate, secure, analyze and improve the Site, including analytics and A/B testing.
• To display advertising and measure it.
• To comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect rights, safety and property.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract or steps at your request; our legitimate interests (running and improving the Site, marketing to business contacts, security, fraud prevention); your consent (marketing to consumers, non-essential cookies); and legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers that host and run the Site and our operations: cloud hosting and database (e.g., Supabase), email delivery, CRM, analytics, payment processing, customer support, data enrichment. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Partner brokers, dealers and service providers, when you ask about an aircraft, service or listing they handle, or when we refer your request to them. This sharing may be a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law; see Section 8 for how to opt out.
• Sponsors and advertisers: we do not give sponsors your personal information. We report aggregate performance. If you click a sponsor's link or submit a sponsor's form, that sponsor's policy applies.
• Affiliate networks and advertising partners may set cookies or receive pseudonymous identifiers when you click affiliate links or view ads.
• Successors in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.
• Authorities and others when required by law, subpoena or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your logbooks, aircraft records or uploaded documents to anyone.

5. Public records and aircraft owners

Aircraft registration data is public. Our tail reports and fleet data summarize public records that may include the registered owner's name and address as published by the FAA or other authorities. If you are a registered owner and want to limit how your registration data appears, the FAA offers a process to withhold owner information from public display; we will honor updated public records within a reasonable time after they change. To request removal of a public-record summary that concerns you, email privacy@thejetgrade.com with the tail number.

6. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above: lead and client records for [7] years after last contact (for legal, tax and dispute reasons); newsletter data until you unsubscribe; analytics data for [26] months; uploaded records for the life of the related report or as you direct. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit, access controls and provider-level security. No system is completely secure; do not upload information you are not comfortable transmitting online.

8. Your rights and choices

Everyone: unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any email; reply STOP to texts; adjust cookies through our banner or your browser; request access to or correction of your information by emailing privacy@thejetgrade.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell or share; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories listed in Section 2 and disclosed them to the recipients listed in Section 4. Referring your inquiry to a partner broker or service provider for a fee may constitute a sale. To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer or email privacy@thejetgrade.com. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. You may use an authorized agent; we will verify requests using the contact details on file. We will respond within 45 days.

EEA / UK residents: you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Data transferred to the United States is protected by standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms.

Other U.S. states (Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others as applicable): you may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, obtain a copy of, and opt out of targeted advertising or sale of your personal information. Email privacy@thejetgrade.com; you may appeal a decision by replying to our response.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, email privacy@thejetgrade.com and we will delete it.

10. Do Not Track

We honor Global Privacy Control signals for opt-out purposes. We do not otherwise respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

11. Changes

We will post any changes here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email or a notice on the Site.
