Very Light Jets
Very light jets suit owner-pilots stepping up from a piston or turboprop, and small businesses flying two to four people on trips under two hours. Most are certified for a single pilot, burn far less fuel than larger jets and use short regional runways, so they open airports that bigger jets cannot. The trade-off is a cabin you sit in rather than stand in, limited baggage room and range that usually means a fuel stop on longer trips.
A typical very light jet asks $2.1M to $2.3M.
Most buyers start with the Cessna Citation Mustang (510), Embraer Phenom 100 (original) and Embraer Phenom 100E.
